If there is one piece we should all have in our wardrobes right now it is the trouser suit.
Not since the 1990's, when it was the go to item for serious power dressing have there been so many on the designer catwalks.
Forget the 90's office flashbacks, the SS13 version has a new air of confidence.
So let this fail safe secret weapon get to work for you.........
The strong retro feel of this Saint Laurent collection, is relaxed and sexy, with a chic, rock and roll mix thrown in.......
Think Bianca Jagger 1970's.

Narciso Rodriguez.... as Anna
Wintour, editor in chief of American Vogue once said, "No one but Narciso
has ever made a simple line look more stunning."
Haider Ackermann : Spring/Summer 2013
Now let the drama begin.........
Image via
As always Haider Ackerman gives us dramatic looks with beautiful elongated shapes, and complex draping.
Get the look for less..........
A classic shape blazer in white will give you endless wear.
To create the look, layer with black crop top, silk vest over.......and ooh la la!
Smile please.......?
Black and tan shoes always a classic.
Done here with a big modern kick!
She is still not smiling........But I am,
this is a great suit to get the Saint Laurent feeling.
Matalan, this store can be badly lit, which in turn makes the merchandise look even cheaper, and at times it is short staffed.
But it is always worth a look for some great bargain pieces.........
Get it home, mix it in , and make like it's designer!
Want to get ahead?........get a hat!
Softly sexy, and oh so chic...........
The Tuxedo, another wardrobe classic.
Yves Saint Laurent gave us "Le Smoking".
A bit Marc Jacobs?
Wear with the tux jacket, silk top, and slip on the heels.......
work it girl!
Designer feel shoe that will work hard for you this summer.......
Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's creations and artistic legacies. The La Laque Couture collection lets you dip your fingertips into the world of Couture with a range of iconic YSL colours. Including ten exclusive shades, available only at Selfridges; Orange Fusion, Orange Afrique, Prune Minimale, Fuschia Cubiste, Rose Renaissance, Mauve Naif, Bleu Cobalt, Brun Parnasse, Blanc Symboliste, and featured here "Dore Orfevre"
If your six pack is on your tum, and not in the fridge,
......then try this look!
Every girl needs a classic slim black ankle length trouser.
What do you think of this heel?
I really like the quirky design.
Another bargain, that will give you many years of wear........
Expensive I know? But it is Alexander Wang after all.
What you save on the bag?
......You can splurge on the rest!
Gok for Tu at Sainsbury's is a great capsule collection.......
Check it out next time you are in the aisle's.
This hand crafted bracelet from Etsy just looks so cool.
Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals Was £545 Now £245.45
Sexy, flirty, feminine, and a great reduction too!
And now something for the men...............
This super concentrate version of the fragrance, was created for the personal use of Yves Saint Laurent.
In 1971, it became generally available. It is elegant, fresh, aromatic, and delicately spicy.......just like my VHM!
So treat the gorgeous man in your life to Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme .......and then wait for him to treat you back.

DeleteOoh - if only I looked as good as those models in the YSL show. I love that kind of silhouette but I just don't have the height or body to carry that look of. However, I could carry that Matalan necklace off no problem - I can't believe that one's just £10 - a most excellent pick!
ReplyDeleteI know, I am a bit on the short side too...but a girl can dream, or get a massive pair of stilts I suppose! xx

DeleteI love your high street takes on this trend, you have picked some fab pieces! I lived and died in trouser suits for the office in the 80's and 90's now it's jogging bottoms or jeans!
ReplyDeleteI know I got rid of so many lovely pieces especially the jackets that I reckon I could reinvent. p.s. Nothing wrong with good old jeans and trackie's. xx
