We need to talk about Xmas? Granted it's still November, but it's one of my favorite times of year to start adding a touch of luxe to my wardrobe. To be honest the contents of my closet all year round heavily feature the essential favorites, black, grey, navy and white (in case you hadn't noticed), all with the less detail the better.

But the idea of some sartorial sparkle, that works with my can't-live-without pieces has been at the forefront of my mind.....Enter, a sequin pencil skirt

It could be said it's a reflex reaction to all that chunky knitwear I've been wearing on a daily basis, and yes it's a statement, I know. But, it's also a timeless classic that works with all the go to basics. I'll be playing down the bling, with a simple menswear grey roll neck sweater (OK the knits haven't entirely disappeared) to keep the look clean and chic.

So, come this holiday season I guess you could say that I'm 'going for gold', with the perfect balance of feminine luxe, meets masculine casual......Just the way I like it.

In other news, have you seen my newly updated Pinterest boards? Consider my index digit now surgically attached to the Pin it button (Mr N-A-D. thinks so anyway), as it's fast becoming my new addiction.

  1. I love a bit of sparkle and I am intending to add more over the next couple of weeks. As for Pinterest I know that I loose hours to it and my Husband thinks I have a problem! H xx

  3. I go through phases with Pinterest - I need to have an idea of what I'm looking for first but once I do, I'm lost for a while.

And a bit of gold at Christmas? I can't think of anything better.
