BLACK WHITE AND BLUE.......a rule of three!

WHO do you secretly stalk in the fashion stakes?

For me it's the style of the French VOGUE editors and their stylists.

There is a UNIFORM amongst them, and none is more stylish, or gives me more wardrobe envy, than Emmanuelle Alt, editor in chief of
Vogue Paris.

Are you ready to return to fashion school? Look and learn NOW.......

FIRSTLY let's remember she is a Mother of two small children......how cute is mini Alt?

Secondly let's remember she is 45 years old.

BUT, it does help if you have access to all areas of the fashion universe, and a hubby who works for Isabel Marant, Balmain and Giuseppe Zanotti........to name but a few.

For me it is the simplicity in her style that makes her unique. Her look is VERY, VERY, french. Sleek and chic, nothing overworked or over accessorised.

She has effortless hair and minimal make-up, and bags a bargain from Topshop in the way of their Baxter jeans.

Plus It's a look that is so DAMN SEXY, and one which we can all easily achieve...............

Note: Leather pants, the perfect tee and a tailored jacket.

Note: Loose pale blue shirt and a rolled cuff. White jeans make another outing.

VOGUE editor's and stylist's en masse, street style!

Emmanuelle Alt

She  has a look that is so distinctive and I love it!

The slightly cropped skinny jeans in black, white or denim.  Shirt over sized casually tucked in, or a loose tee (grey is also allowed here by the way!)

Blazer or leather jacket, ankle/shoe boots, sexy sandals or low heeled pumps. Evening wear uniform is more often than not a tuxedo and silk pants.

She also recycles pieces too, like her black leather belt with gold buckles that she has been photographed wearing many times!

But what I most admire about her look is the way she makes her wardrobe work for her. We all talk about wanting the perfect "capsule wardrobe" don't we?

SO if we follow her rules it is very, simple.
And oh so........ TRES CHIC!

I'm told she also likes a bit of Disco....so for you Emmanuelle! x

THE RULES ACCORDING TO ALT.....

1. Skinny jeans in black, white and denim.....She actually is a wearer of these jeans FACT!

2. Plain tee's in BLACK, WHITE, NAVY/BLUE and GREY.

Emmanuelle's are usually Balmain or Isabel Marant. To get the look try Uniqlo mens in a small size.

MEN Premium Cotton Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt

3. Blazer or jacket  in NAVY, BLACK and WHITE.

Image 1 of DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER WITH METALLIC BUTTON from Zara

4. Loose boyfriend shirt.....white, chambray or stripe.

P.S  Nice to see a bit of a masculine edge/ smiley good looking face, to these very girl orientated blog's don't you think?

Gap Mens Chambray Shirt £29.99  Buy in smaller size.

5. Leather jeans. Also look at faux leather, it is SO good right now, and most of them washable.....always a PLUS!!

Image 1 of ASOS Leather Look Skinny Jeans with Ankle Zip Detail

6. Tuxedo Jacket, black white or both.
Image 1 of BLAZER WITH CONTRASTING LAPEL from Zara

7. The shoes......pumps, strappy sandals, boots.

ORIGIN GLADIATOR - style no: 1338678

elisa pump, black shoe by michael michael kors - women

8. The Accessories.....belt, watch, sunglasses.

DRILLED LEATHER BELT

Sunglasses - Ray Ban RB3025 Aviator Large Metal

SO work it girl...........!

  5. It's such a good look isn't it? And yes she does look fabulous but she also happens to be blessed with long coltish limbs. In that department I have been very short changed. When I try the look, I'm always nearly there but not quite ... I blame it on my short legs.

  18. Fantastic post and nicely broken down for us mere mortals. I have to say I've been looking for white jeans for the longest time without success. I love wearing white. Anyway I recently tried out the same formula, jacket, jeans, tee and it felt great! Being short with a thick middle and chunky legs, I tend to wear bf jeans but was pleased with the overall effect all the same.
I love how natural her look is, it's totally age defying.
