With the sales ripe for picking and without stepping too far away from the predilections of the darker hues in my wardrobe, in darkest winter I like to add a touch of lightness in cool silver and icy white.
It still keeps me firmly placed within my comfort zone of a mostly monochrome spectrum, but adding a whiter shade of pale adds an almost magical quality to the dressing equation.
And so for now, shading on the pale grey's, plus some structure and slouch, is a winning combo every time.
